Location: Colombo – Sigiriya
- Upon arrival at Colombo Airport in the afternoon, transfers to Sigiriya will be arranged (timings to follow).
- Check-in at the jungle hotel in Sigiriya, freshen up after a long day of travelling.
- Welcome dinner with the crew, get to know everyone ahead of our Sri Lankan adventure!

Which airport do I need to fly in and out?
Fly into and out of Colombo International Airport (CMB).
What time should my flight arrive and leave?
Fly In: Any flight arriving in the morning or early afternoon, by 4PM the latest.
Fly Out: Anytime on Thursday the 15th, bare in mind that the transfer from Weligama to Colombo takes 2.5 hours approx.

Are transfers included?
Almost all your transfers are included!
Transfers from Colombo to Sigiriya are included (within time slots), transfers to and between hotels and all destinations, plus Safari are all included. Your returning transfer from Weligama to Colombo is not included, this can be arranged from our hotel.
Do I need a visa?
Most likely yes, you do need a visa.

Please note that tips are not included. Suggested amounts per person are:
- Guides: 6 USD per day
- Drivers: 4.5 USD per day
All tips are at your discretion depending on what you feel comfortable with, anything additional makes a difference to the local community.
Will this itinerary change?
The itinerary, activities and hotels are subject to change, however this is very unlikey. These changes can happen due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience.
How much should I budget per day?
8,000 LKR, the equivalent of 30 GBP per day.
What should I pack?
We will write a journal entry for everything you need to know to bring, however here are some key items:
- Activewear
- Sunhat/sunglasses
- Light waterproof jacket/poncho
- Jumper/sweater
- Swimwear
- Adaptors (types D and G)
- High SPF
- Insect Repellent
- Hand fan
- Modest clothes – you’ll need to make sure that your shoulders and knees are covered during temple visits. Long trousers, long skirts and sarongs all work well. You may also be required to take your shoes off, so you might want to have a pair of socks in your bag to avoid bare feet.
