Battersea Power Station’s Light Festival (From Thursday 23rd January) The annual light festival is back, brighter and more interactive than ever. This free interactive art trail features eight must-see light installations by British and international artists, with several making their UK or London debut. Shining both inside and outside the Power Station from 8am to 11pm daily, many installations go beyond the visual, incorporating soundscapes and interactive elements that respond to movement and more. From a tornado of light to the Northern Lights and a giant ball of yarn, there’s plenty to discover! London Art Fair (Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th January) The capital’s art scene kicks off for the year this weekend at the London Art Fair at the Business Design Centre in Islington. The focus is on modern and contemporary pieces, with galleries from all over London and around the world exhibiting. And that’s not all, experience sensational live performances, and an inspiring programme of talks and tours to keep you busy between touring the artists. Pergola on the Piste (From Thursday 23rd January)  Hit the slopes at Pergola on the Piste, with their après takeover! This is the best place to go to this side of the Alps to find the mountain party spirit, with DJs, live entertainment, Aperol galore and much more. If you’re looking for that ski holiday vibe to kick off your next holiday or maybe you’ve not got a ski trip planned this year,  this is the perfect place to still get your fix! Burns Night Ceilidh (Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th and Sunday 26th) The end of January means one thing – it’s Ceilidh season! Now a huge tradition at Big Penny Social, which saw over 1200 people stripping the willow across 4 sold out ceilidhs last year. Plus if you attended last year, you’ll be pleased to hear The Sassenachs will be back with a traditional live band and caller, to lead you through the Gaelic dances for the celebration of Burns Night and all things Scottish. Chiswick Cheese Market (Sunday 15th February) Over in West London, just off Chiswick High Road, a dairy-fuelled celebration of all things cheese touches down once a month. Originally inspired by Jamie Oliver’s ‘Save British Cheese’ campaign in 2020 the team behind the cheese market set about creating a place for cheese producers and enthusiasts to come together over the very best cheeses from Britain and beyond and bring the wonder of well-crafted cheese to Chiswick. Chiswick Cheese Market is on the third Sunday of every month bringing cheese back to Chiswick (or Cheesewick as it was historically known). More information here! 

Aromatherapy Candle Making Workshop (Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January) Creating candles is a sensory experience that relaxes the mind by getting you in the flow and allowing you to focus only on the materials and the scent. Learn to make your own beautiful candle at this calming London candle making class and learn about the healing effects of aromatherapy oils. Guided by your supportive teacher, you’ll begin your candle making class by learning about the different benefits and healing therapies of a range of essential oils. Corteo (9th January to 3rd March) To celebrate 40 years of dreaming the impossible, Cirque du Soleil has returned to the Royal Albert Hall this January, with their show, Corteo. With unique staging, creating an intimate and immersive experience, Corteo will present Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall in a never seen before configuration. With countless feats of jaw-dropping acrobatics including aerial acts swinging from Chandeliers and floating over the audience, this is not to be missed! Off the Books Supper Club at Mildreds (Thursday 23rd January) Head to Dalston this weekend to join the team behind the pioneering plant based restaurant for their new Italian inspired supper club. This January, Mildred’s are celebrating with a fusion of bold Italian flavours and creative twists, bringing together traditional classics with a contemporary flair. With the first supper club of 2025 kicking off on Thursday, you’ll be treated to the Italian classics such as Tiramisu, Cannelloni and Cicchetti! NAOMI In Fashion (Until 6th April 2025) NAOMI: In Fashion explores the unequalled 40-year career of fashion model and cultural icon Naomi Campbell. After being scouted in Covent Garden aged just 15, Campbell quickly rose to prominence in the industry, and made history a few years later when, at 18, she became the first black model to feature on the cover of Paris Vogue, in 1988. The first exhibition of its kind exploring the extraordinary career of the fashion model.
